Report on the September 13th Tornado that has Affected the Rhode Island Manufacturing Plant
On the day of September 13th, 2026 the Rhode Island Manufacturing plant was struck tangentially by a tornado. The majority of the facility is spared and operational, but the reagent Albany storage silo was broken apart by the wind and debris, scattering tens of tons of the reagent into the air and water.
Cleanup is proceeding as is possible, however portable monitors using the same technology as the Albany detectors have not been effective outside the factory, despite their success at tests in the lab, so more difficult sampling methods must be used to ascertain the contamination level.
The fineness of the substance has lead to it being spread across the surrounding five states, with the highest concentration of any notability being Rhode Island.
